NAT Issue for Xbox Live

NAT Issue for Xbox Live
NAT is strictly a router deal. My recommendations are as follows:
1) Set your 360 to a static IP address outside of the DHCP reservation (Generally 100-150 default on most routers). I have my 360 set to 192.168.1.222
2) Use simple port forwarding for the following ports to the static IP you assigned in step 1.
Xbox Live
*Port 88 (UDP)
* Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
* Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
* Port 80 (TCP)
3) Disable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play is designed for LANs and has a tendency to make things much worse regarding NAT)
4) Run connection test. Should now report an Open or type 2 NAT.
Alternate:
An alternate method would be to change step 2. Instead of opening ports set your 360 or PS3 as the DMZ. There will be a DMZ setting in your router, enter the static IP of your console here.
These steps have worked flawlessly for me every time. It may be a tad complex, but I have never seen these steps fail.

"It may be a tad complex"
^ If anyone thinks setting up a router is complex, I invite them to any networking 101 guide on Google.
